(1st group verbs)
You must recognize the base and the terminaison. For example, the verb "parler" . As you can see here, the base is the same, and the terminaison are different, this work for all verbs that end with -ER except ALLER because it is an irregular verbs.
PARLER - TO TALK
Je parle
Tu parles
Il/Elle parle
Nous parlons
Vous parlez
Ils/Elles parlent
more examples : acheter ( to buy ), laver ( to wash ) , travailler ( to work ) and allumer ( to turn on )
But... There's always an exception 🙍🙍🙍🙍
For the verbs like manger and voyager, there is a difference for the subject "nous"
because voyagons and mangons are nightmare to french people. Trust me! For the sake of humanity, the conjugation become ;
voyageons
mangeons
Actually, there is another 4 type of conjugation especially for 1st group verb but, I will proceed with the basic one 🙇🙇
Wait a minute, we re not done yet. There are another two group of verbs that we need to discuss 👀👀👀👀👀
Now, the second group is the verbs that end with -IR. If you are a beginner, you will need to identify the base first because for these verbs, their base will be quite different from usual ( wait until you see irregular verbs )
(2nd group verbs)
PARTIR ( TO LEAVE )
Je pars
Tu part
Il/Elle pars
Vous partez
Nous partons
Ils/Elle partent
The terminaison are quite different , we have -s and -t . These conjugation are same for all verbs ending with -IR
Another example : finir (to finish), sortir ( to get out ) and venir (to come)
(3rd group verbs/Irregular verbs)
